Oh look, gaming headphones! Haven’t had one of those in a while. I wonder how these ended up with me. I’m not too kind to this kind of thing. They’re usually overpriced and designed to allow other people to hear you scream expletives at strangers. If I wanted that I would be working in the media… Oh… Wait….

The box claims that this particular product was designed in Germany. Not that I’m disputing anything. It’s actually very well made. The padding is moulded in such a way that it’s unusually comfortable to wear. There is a certain odd non-Euclidian strangeness to the earcups. However, unlike the Old Ones of legend, it only serves to enhance the sensation of being in their presence. There is method to this madness, and it works.

Sound isolation is pretty darned good in here. At least that’s how it feels with the headphones on. I wouldn’t know what anyone out there thinks. The whole world is effectively blocked out. And the volume is only at 25%.

I suspect that the designers of this setup were told they were building a high end system for rich people. In a sense, they are. It’s not cheap this set, but it is worth it.
