Free to Move

Compared to its previous generation, this is weightier, but also more flexible. It features a more solid design that doesn’t feel as cheap. The weight actually helps hold the neck band down, so you don’t get moments when the neck band suddenly slip off, and I let out a little yelp that resembles a mouse. The earbuds have also improved in design, giving a snug fit that allows you to move around freely and it still stays in place. It comes with 3 sizes of earbuds and winged tips, so you can pick which sizes best sits comfortably on our ear. The range however, was disappointing. I could barely reach the other end of the room before it starts to cut off. Set up is easy as well; there’s a USB dongle for plug and play on the computer, or it can pair with up to 8 Bluetooth devices.

Zero Distraction

It comes with Active Noise Cancelling (ANC), so you can totally shut out any sounds. Even without ANC on, the earbuds provide enough passive noise cancellation that you won’t be able to hear much after putting them on; you’re basically in a one man concert hall listening to whatever hits fits your fancy. Need to talk to someone? No worries. It also comes with a listen in mode that allows you to hear your ambient sounds without taking off your earbuds. Just press a button and you can have a conversation clear as day. Also a plus, for many earbuds with passive or active noise cancelling, sounds from wires rubbing against clothes are an annoying disturbance. The Evolve 75e is made with silicone rubber, which greatly reduces this issue.

Enjoy for Work or Play

The sound is loud and clear, whether making calls or listening to music. For playing music, it’s got a good mix of highs, mids and low, with a good solid bass that supports beats very well. Having said that, the lows do not compromise the highs, still giving a fair distribution for other music that are not heavy on bass. For making calls, the position of the mic is also improved, so not only can you hear clearly, whoever on the other end will receive you loud and clear as well, even in a noisy environment. I’ve tested it on a phone call while working in the office, driving, in an event and walking in between. The call is still clear, with no ruffling sounds.

Verdict
Really enjoyed these headphones. Great for work or commute, and definitely a big improvement from its previous designs.
