
In efforts to clamp down on sharing and spreading sensitive issues that can cause provocation, disharmony or unrest, MCMC has created multiple platforms for the rakyat to report any incidents that’s related to Race, Religion and Royalty (3R) instantaneously.
The regulatory body has sent up a Whatspp line 016 220 6262 and an email account [email protected] whereby the People can report if they come across any such messages or websites on their mobile devices or desktop. MCMC created these platforms in order to expedite investigation and take immediate action against those who share or produce 3R contents, the process will assist officers to act quickly with all other relevant agencies if required.
It is advised for those who come across these messages on their desktop are to take a screenshot and URL of the unsavory content and send it to the email address stated above. For those who receive such contents on Whatsapp can take a screenshot along with the phone number of the individual who sent the message and share it MCMC.
As a precautionary the agency reminds the rakyat to administer moderation when discussing sensitive topics in order to safeguard the country’s harmony and peaceful nature that had been enjoyed by all walks of life for the past 62 years. Any negative content that spread hatred or that which threats the cultural unity of Malaysia’s multiracial mix must be stopped immediately.
