Famed author of the Twilight Series, Stephanie Meyer has confirmed she will finally be releasing Midnight Sun. The book written from Edward Cullen’s perspective was first teased in 2008 in a draft by Meyer.

“It’s a crazy time right now, and I wasn’t sure if it was the right time to put this book out, but some of you have been waiting for just so long,” she said. “It didn’t seem fair to make you wait anymore,” she said in an interview with Good Morning America.

Edward Cullen was played by Robert Pattinson with Kirsten Stewart as Bella Swan alongside him in the 2008’s Twilight. The Twilight series had since then spanned 4 books and 5 movies which also made $3.3bn.

The 672 page novel will be hitting shelves on Aug 4.
