REDMAGIC has launched its Astra Gaming Tablet in Malaysia, offering configurations of up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage, with retail prices starting at RM2,999 under a limited-time first sale promo.

Designed for high-performance gaming and multitasking, the Astra runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with the RedCore R3 Pro co-processor to handle display rendering and thermal management. The 9.06-inch OLED display features a 165Hz refresh rate, 2.4K resolution and peak brightness up to 1,600 nits, with SGS-certified eye protection.

Astra also introduces advanced cooling technology with a 13-layer ICE-X system, liquid metal thermal compound and dual vapour chambers—features typically found in gaming PCs. Combined with a 20,000 RPM turbofan, the setup allows stable frame rates and efficient charging.

Battery performance is led by an 8,200mAh unit supporting fast charging, delivering up to 6.7 hours of continuous gameplay on titles like Call of Duty Mobile. The device supports DisplayPort output, USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) and has integrated Google Gemini AI for creative and productivity tasks.

Audio and haptics include stereo DTS:X Ultra-certified speakers and dual linear motors, while gamers can leverage the X-Gravity Gaming Centre for external display support up to 8K at 60Hz and Frame Rate Boost at 120FPS.

The tablet is available in three variants: 12GB+256GB (RM2,999 promo), 16GB+512GB (RM3,799) and 24GB+1TB (RM4,799). Free gifts during the launch include an 80W charger, screen protector and Cyber Gamepad worth a combined RM897, valid until 31 July.
