Recovered From Covid-19, Don’t Celebrate Yet…Depressing News Ahead

For those who have recovered from Covid-19 and think they have immunised themselves from the virus, you will need to hold that thought, apparently, the Health Ministry has found that recovered patients may have a lower level of immunity, and possible complications that can affect the lungs and heart.

Adding to that, your level of antibodies would decrease after three months, meaning your immunity to fight any virus is now lower. This comes after an international report that said the lives of patients who have recovered from COVID-19 may not return to normal because some of them need lung transplants and also were at risk of getting heart attacks.

Patients have been advised to ensure follow-up care to monitor their health and more so if they have been listed as category 4 or 5.

The latest news shines a whole new perspective on the disease, for those who have recovered and the rest who were on the perception that even if you’re infected and you recover you will be immune for life, is now thrown out of  the window.

Long term effects are real which might include blood clotting in the lungs, slowing the flow of blood, patients have even seen this happen to their intestines and kidneys. For those who had lung inflammation due to the virus can suffer long tern lung damage.
