According to Canalys’ Q3 2023 report, realme achieved an impressive annual growth of 211% for sell-in shipments during the third quarter, solidifying its position as a key player in the industry.
What sets realme apart is its consistent positive annual growth, standing out as the only smartphone brand in the top five with such sustained performance over three consecutive quarters. The brand’s remarkable annual growth was 22% and 18% in the first and second quarters of 2023, respectively.
The Chief Executive Officer, Marcus Lin, of realme Malaysia, expressed gratitude for the brand’s continued success in the Malaysian market. Lin remarked, “Despite our humble beginning in the ‘red-sea market’ five years ago, we managed to navigate the tough market and found ourselves in the top five ranks.” He emphasized that realme’s stellar performance is a testament to their belief in innovation over seniority, aiming to connect closely with the Malaysian youth and become their preferred smartphone brand.
Lin extended appreciation to business partners and realme fans for their unwavering support, promising to maintain a commitment to providing leap-forward product offerings. He highlighted the brand’s dedication to innovation, with a focus on R&D and a 58% year-on-year increase in investment to make essential tech innovations more accessible.
Driven by the motto ‘No Leap No Launch,’ realme has ambitious plans to continue introducing leap-forward technologies and unique products that address users’ pain points, ensuring an unparalleled mobile experience. The brand is gearing up to launch a new GT series smartphone in the Malaysian market by the end of 2023.
Realme’s commitment to innovation is evident in its two smartphone series: the Number series and the C series. The realme 11 Pro+ 5G, launched in July 2023, boasts the world’s first 200MP OIS SuperZoom with 4x in-sensor zoom, catering to photography enthusiasts and life enthusiasts alike.
