We’ve all been in a situation where our friend posted a bad news on Facebook, like his or her grandma had died, and we can only ‘like’ the post although it feels highly inappropriate. It’s not as if we like the fact that our friend’s family member had died.

But that’s how Facebook ‘Like’ button works. Now, all that may be changing. And then, we heard rumours that a ‘Dislike’ button may be added to Facebook but giving your grieving friend a thumb down still isn’t quite appropriate.

Engadget has received tips from their sources that the social media site will be launching a ‘Reactions’ feature on trial in Ireland and Spain as soon as tomorrow (Friday).

The new emojis will let you click a sad face if your friend had broken his leg, or click love for a cute photo of your friend’s dog. There are also laughter, cheeky smile and shock anger emojis as well.

Although Engadget couldn’t confirm when the feature might start showing up in other regions, we may expect a successful trial for the new ‘Reactions’ and hopefully this will prompt Facebook to make it available to all users worldwide soon.
