Qualcomm Technologies has launched its most powerful mobile system-on-a-chip, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, at the Snapdragon Summit. Touted as the world’s fastest mobile platform, it introduces significant advancements, including the second generation custom-built Qualcomm Oryon CPU, Qualcomm Adreno GPU, and enhanced Qualcomm Hexagon NPU.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite delivers game-changing improvements in performance, enabling on-device multi-modal generative AI applications. These innovations extend across camera capabilities, gaming, and web browsing, promising users an enhanced experience.
Chris Patrick, senior vice president and general manager of mobile handsets at Qualcomm Technologies, emphasised the leap forward with the new CPU technology, stating that the Snapdragon 8 Elite will revolutionise mobile experiences with improved power efficiency and personalised AI-driven functionalities.
