For those wondering whats happening around Pudu with barbed wire fencing and additional police presence, according to Defense Minister the Pudu area is not under EMCO but rather AMCO…yup another mind-boggling terminology.
EMCO is when a designated area goes under additional restriction with added security and closed-off to outsiders. These are areas with potential outbreak and has recorded more than 20 positive Covid19 cases. While Pudu seems to be under this situation, the Minister claims it to be under AMCO, something we have not heard before, Advanced Movement Control Order.
It’s not the EMCO but a tightening of the MCO, similar to what was done in the Jalan Raja Bot Market in Chow Kit,” he clarified.
So, how many of the MCO’s are there, since March 18 Malaysians have been accustomed to the Movement Control and its function, but once the government started easing the restriction, we were imposed with CMCO or Conditional Movement Control Order where dining in and businesses were allowed to open. What could be next UMCO, Unconditional MCO where everyone can mingle and start socialising but can get summoned if they cross the line or LMCO, Limited MCO where certain things like clubs and mass gathering is prohibited but everything else is okay.
Lets hope there is no MCOF, as in Forever where we will be under house arrest for the rest of the year and 2021. If there is no vaccine made available anytime soon we could be staring at PMCO, Prolonged MCO with no chance of life returning to how it was BMCO, Before MCO!
