The recent collaboration between PUBG MOBILE and Attack on Titan attracted nearly 10,000 visitors to Sunway Velocity Mall over the weekend, highlighting the growing influence of gaming culture in Malaysia. The large-scale event, held from May 31 to June 2, coincided with the launch of PUBG MOBILE’s Version 3.8 Update, “Steampunk Frontier,” which features exclusive content from the globally popular anime.

The booth featured interactive photobooths, in-game challenges, and voting sessions, aimed at engaging both loyal players and newcomers. Organised by Tencent Games, the event also served as a platform to showcase new gameplay elements from the collaboration, including the use of the Omni-Directional Mobility Gear and Titan transformation abilities.
According to Tencent Games, the update allows players to access character sets of Eren Yeager, Armin Arlert, Levi and Mikasa Ackermann, available in both anime and realistic 3D styles. Players who collect matching Titan sets for Eren or Armin can activate their respective Attack or Colossal Titan forms. Additional in-game items include Armoured Titan costumes, themed vehicles, Scout Regiment gear and voice packs featuring lines from the original anime.

The collaboration is live in-game from May 30 until July 6, 2025.
