Sony is at it again trying to pry the cash out of my cold, dead hands with a new lineup of colours for their DualShock 4 controllers lineup. The DualShock 4 at the moment has more than 25 colours ranging from the classic Jet Black, to Red, White, Silver, and all kinds of different variations. Now Sony is introducing 4 new colours to the roster: electric purple, rose gold, red camouflage, and titanium blue. The red camo doesn’t really make much sense, but hey, it looks cool at least!
The four controllers follow a kind of two-tone colour scheme, as you can tell from the pictures above. The Rose Gold’s is especially pronounced, but I’m waiting to see how that actually fades over time. The shinyness won’t be so shiny after prolonged, rage induced usage. Something to note though, is Electric Purple is the only one which is has a all-white icon for the face buttons. So that makes it stand out even more so.
And that’s not all folks!
If you’re keen on the Rose Gold controller, they’ve even got an accompanying Rose Gold Wireless Headset that will be available later in November.
These controllers will be available for purchase this September for $64.99 USD (RM 272), but as for now, it’ll be available in US and Canada. But don’t worry, I’m sure sooner or later (through whatever channels), they’ll be available here too!
