Apple Looks Set To Launch The iPhone 11 On September 10th

Rumoured design for the iPhone 11

Mark your calenders! It looks like September 10th is the date penciled in for the launch of the iPhone 11. With iOS 13 beta 7 being released to developers today, of course people dug deep, scouring for any sort of clues that might indicate a potential date for the iPhone 11 event.

Of course, they found it. As reported by The Verge, iHelp BR found an asset in the beta version that may just have uncovered the coveted release date. An image titled “HoldForRelease”, which is pretty much a screenshot of the iOS 13 menu, displayed the number 10 on the icon of Apple’s calendar app, which indicates that Apple is planning an iPhone 11 event on the 10th of September.

There’s actually some credibility to these hints as well. The iPhone XS was announced on the 12th of September , which coincidentally was the date on the calendar for the iOS 12 version of this picture. To add more fuel to the fire, Apple is known to hold it’s iPhone events on the second Tuesday or Wednesday in September. Why? I have no idea but the dates for the last few iPhone events are as follows:

  • Wednesday, September 9th, 2015
  • Wednesday, September 7th, 2016
  • Tuesday, September 12th, 2017
  • Wednesday, September 12th, 2018

No prizes for guessing what day September 10th is this year. So save the date, Apple fanboys (and girls). While you’ll probably have to wait till 2020 for 5G enabled devices, at least you’ll be getting a triple camera setup for the first time.. It only took them a whole year since the first triple camera phone but hey better late than never right?
