The DC origin series Pennyworth is coming for a second season, same day as the U.S. on 14 December at 9pm on Warner TV (Astro Ch 712 HD / UnifiTV Ch 451) with new episodes every Monday.
Pennyworth is the spin-off for Batman that tells the story of Alfred Pennyworth, a former British SAS soldier in his 20s, who forms a security company in 1960s London and goes to work with young billionaire Thomas Wayne, who has not yet become Bruce Wayne’s father.
The casts of the series is Jack Bannon (The Imitation Game) as the titular character, Ben Alridge (Our Girl, Fleabag) as Thomas Wayne, Emma Paetz, Hainsley Lloyd Bennett among others. James Purefoy (The Following, Altered Carbon) will also appear as a special guest.
The story takes place a year after the events of last season where England is mired in a devastating civil war with the unbeatable neo-fascist Raven Union which is led by Lord Harwood. North London is one of the few resistance holdouts that remain and in the West End Neutral Zone is where we will find Alfred Pennyworth.
Years of training with British Army has made him a cynical optimist during his training with SAS which means to expect the worst knowing he can handle it. While running The Delaney, a black-markey Soho Club, Alfred and his SAS mates are in search of a way out before London and his country tear themselves apart and now targeting for America.
This 10-episode drama series by Warner Bros is based on the characters created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger, also executive produced by Bruno Heller (Gotham), Danny Cannon (CSI series) and Matthew Patnick (Peaky Blinders).
