With the holidays fast approaching, it’s only natural that we round up some of the tech gadgets, stuff, and gifts that we think are a must have. Because what better way to celebrate, than to buy something shiny and new?
Now it doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to gift these to someone, because why not take the time to get yourself something that will really bring in the New Year with some new stuff to tinker with. We’ve got a collection of all sorts of stuff this time around in Gizmos, so check out some of what we think, will be the perfect gifts this holiday season! (Also, Happy Holidays from the PC.com team, and a Happy New Year!)
To kick things off, we’re going to be posting gifts in certain budgets, starting from gifts RM 500 and below! Let us know in the comments what you’d like from our gift guides!
With that being said, let’s get to it!
Pokémon Sword And Shield
Pokémon is a classic, and was a staple in many people’s childhoods. I remember getting a Gameboy Colour and Pokémon Yellow, and it changed everything. What better way to celebrate the holidays by giving someone that the same experience? Pokémon Sword and Shield is the latest iteration in the beloved franchise, and will feature a bigger and better world and experience. Why? Because it’s on Nintendo’s latest console, the Switch. This will be the first iteration of Pokémon on the Switch, and that’s why it’s a big deal. The game released in November, so what better way to welcome the holidays than a whole new Pokémon game? The game retails for RM 249, but you’ll be able to get it for less online, so keep a look out if you’re a fan of the Pokémon series!
HONOR Band 5
If you were looking to be more fit and healthy in the New Year of 2020, than you’re going to need to be equipped to handle it. What better way than a fitness tracker? HONOR recently launched their HONOR Band 5, which comes equipped with an AMOLED touch display, 24/7 heart rate monitor, different fitness modes depending on the exercise you’re doing, and up to 14 days o battery life. All for the price of RM 169. Now wouldn’t you call that a deal?
BittBoy PocketGo V2
Now if you were a fan of retro gaming, and the classic SNES, Gameboy, and even PS1 games, you’ll like this one. The new PocketGo V2 has an updated design from the original PocketGo, and features a bigger screen, JZ4770 Dual-Core 64Bit – 1.00Ghz processor, 2000mAh battery, and a 3.5″ IPS Tempered Glass Panel with a 320×240 resolution. Like I said, this baby can handle a lot of different emulators, and it definitely is worth the money, as it costs just RM 375! That’s not a bad deal if you’re taking into consideration the amount of games you’d be able to play on this thing, and the amount of different consoles it can emulate. Definitely worth it for the hardcore retro gamer, so if you know one, why not pick it up for them just in time for the holidays?
