Panasonic Corporation, a worldwide official partner of the Olympic and Paralympic games in the category of audiovisual equipment of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Rio 2016, today announced the complete line of equipment and a wide range of solutions the company provide support to the preparation of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Rio 2016.

Panasonic has collaborated for the Games with its leading-edge AV technology for over twenty-five years. In 2016, Panasonic signed its partnership with the organizer to be an “Official Partner of Ceremonies” to provide a ready visual solution for use, from system design to projection mapping operation in the ceremonies of the project of the Olympic and Paralympics.

Panasonic will provide approximately 110 units of its compact designs high brightness of 20,000 lux (PT-DZ21K2), live switch 2-M / E transmission class (AV-HS6000 series), and a full line with other visual systems lead the ceremonies to a whole new level of entertainment with stunning images to viewers in the iconic Maracana Stadium in Brazil and to audiences around the world’s largest can witness ceremonies in Rio de Janeiro.

Panasonic will also install its LED video screens and video systems in the venues in larger scale of any event of the Olympic Games in the history of the company. The requirements of video screens are increasing systematically in the Olympic Games and such screens are an indispensable part of the look of the stadium to display huge images of the Games for multi-functional digital video switching.

Through cooperation with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Paralympic Committee International (CPI), the Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games 2016 (RIO 2016) and the Transmission Services of the Olympic Games (STJO), Panasonic offers its equipment visual state of the art for the ceremonies of opening and closing, competition venues and broadcasting locations.
