Leaving your v-day shopping to the last minute may not be a good idea. The OPPO R9s Valentine Red Edition is reported to be sold out online yesterday and only available in the 70 OPPO concepts stores dotted around Malaysia. You have until next Monday to pre-order from stores, but are you really betting on that chance?
In a press release, OPPO states that “The company is ecstatic about the overwhelming response to the limited edition OPPO R9s and frankly, the pre-order demand has exceeded their expectations.”
According to the release, the limited edition phones sold out rapidly on their company’s online store despite restocking their inventory several times. The phone has been described to be in “an incredibly beautiful shade of brilliant red”.
The company has brought on several improvements and upgrades to the R9s this year. According to OPPO they switched their focus to the rear camera and brought on significant camera upgrades. The Valentine Red Edition R9s carries a 16MP on both rear and front camera, with a new Dual PDAF technology and an enlarged f/1.7 aperture, noted to be great for taking photos in low light. Perfect shots of your candlelight dinner, perhaps?
