OPPO’s Reno series has been updated today with the Reno5 5G range, featuring two variants in Malaysia, known as the OPPO Reno5 5G and the OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G.
The OPPO Reno5 series features an all-new camera system featuring a 64MP rear quadcam matrix and a 32MP ultra-clear front camera empowered by the OPPO Full Dimension Fusion (FDF) Portrait Video System.
OPPO has also introduced a powerful range of AI-assisted features known as the AI Highlight Video which is the first feature in the industry to automatically detect ambient light in a scene and improve the video’s quality accordingly by applying OPPO’s industry-leading Ultra Night Video Algorithms and Live HDR Algorithms.
Both functions leave videos with better exposure and brightness, less noise, and clear and natural colours with just one click of the “AI” button while in video mode.
There is also a new Dual-view Video feature that lets video be captured from the front and rear cameras simultaneously. Perfect for those who want to enter the vlogging scene.
On the front of Reno5 5G, the 6.4-inch 90Hz AMOLED screen with a single punch-hole design delivers a more vivid touch, which, combined with a crisp FHD+ (2400×1080) resolution and silky smooth 90Hz refresh rate, make for a life-like entertainment experience. As for the Reno5 Pro 5G, it sports a 6.5-inch 3D curved Super AMOLED display, providing a smooth, rounded touch with borderless immersion.
The 90Hz refresh rate and up to 180Hz touch sampling rate ensure a silky-smooth feel whether playing games, or when switching between apps. Furthermore, the screen is certified by leading testing company SGS as an “SGS Eye Care”.
The ultra-fast 65W SuperVOOC2.0 Flash Charge is another highlight that will change users’ smartphone habit. It can charge the Reno5 to up to 100% of its battery power in 35 minutes. A large 4,300mAh battery allows for all-day use, even for the most demanding users.
The Reno5 integrates a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, an integrated 5G mobile platform that has been widely proven to deliver top-tier 5G performance.
To ensure a consistent and stable 5G experience, OPPO has also designed the Reno5 Pro with a 360-degree surround antenna which is able to automatically connect to the best signal available. The Reno5 Pro is powered by a 4,350mAh battery and supports SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge as well.
The OPPO Reno5 5G is priced at RM1,899, while the Reno5 Pro 5G is priced at RM2,599 and the pre-order will begin from January 13 to January 26.
