
This massive jump placed OPPO in the top spot in the China market beating Huawei in its own turf and much ahead of Samsung. IDC data shows that the company’s Quarter 3 sales volume allowed it to leap places making the brand position itself in the number 4 global smartphone spot among the top-fives.
“We are delighted at OPPO’s continued growth, and at the enthusiasm we’re receiving from consumers in China and our markets around the world,” said Sky Li, OPPO Vice President and Managing Director of International Mobile Business.
Sky Li, attributes the success to F1 Plus (also known in China as the R9) which has received huge response form Chinese consumers helping to win 17.5-percent market share in the country during that time.
