ONIC Philippines claimed victory at the Snapdragon Pro Series (SPS) Mobile Challenge Finals – Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) after an intense three-day showdown in front of a sold-out crowd at the Persada Johor International Convention Centre.
The team took home US$65,000 in prize money along with the coveted SPS trophy and a ticket to the Snapdragon Pro Series Mobile Masters 2025 in Jakarta. ONIC Esports finished as runners-up, earning US$32,000, while Team Liquid ID secured third place with US$17,000.
“It feels good to come out on top in the all-ONIC Grand Final. It’s what the fans wanted to see, and we’re happy to be able to put on a show for them,” said Rafael Sanchez, Country Manager of ONIC Philippines, speaking on behalf of players Jann “Kirk” Gutierrez, King “K1ngkong” Perez, Frince “Super Frince” Ramirez, Grant “Kelra” Pillas, and Borris “Brusko” Parro.
The Grand Final saw ONIC Philippines dominate ONIC Esports with a 4-0 clean sweep. The event drew a peak online viewership of 1.12 million, with over 4,000 fans attending the playoffs.
Senior Product Manager at ESL FACEIT Group, Som Nuchapa Trivijitsilp, expressed appreciation for the enthusiastic Malaysian crowd, stating, “The passionate fans have been absolutely fantastic and given the tournament an extra buzz that any organiser would dream of. This win adds to ONIC Philippines’ impressive record, following their triumph at the M6 World Championship and MPL Philippines Season 14.
