Nothing has unveiled its latest Phone (4a) Series, marking a major leap for mid-range smartphones with a blend of premium design, bold colours, flagship-grade cameras and Snapdragon performance.

Powered by Nothing OS 4.1, the series offers a fast, fluid and highly personal user experience with smarter AI tools and deeper customisation.

The Phone (4a) Pro is the slimmest Nothing phone yet at 7.95 mm, featuring a precision metal unibody, IP65 dust and water resistance and a standout transparent design that integrates the camera and the upgraded Glyph Matrix. The standard Phone (4a) continues the transparent aesthetic with reinforced durability and IP64 protection, offering expressive new colour options including transparent blue and soft pink.

Photography is a highlight, with the Pro boasting a 50MP periscope telephoto lens capable of 140x zoom, alongside a Sony LYT700c main camera and ultra-wide sensor. Both models feature TrueLens Engine 4, supporting Ultra XDR photos and 4K video with HDR effects, AI Photo Eraser and professional presets.

The Glyph Interface returns, now brighter and more functional, turning notifications into playful or practical light patterns, while Nothing OS 4.1 enhances productivity with floating apps, flexible widgets and cross-platform AI tools including Essential Search and Essential Memory. Displays range from 6.78″ to 6.83″ AMOLED with 1.5K resolution, high refresh rates and HDR brightness up to 5000 nits.

Performance is driven by Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 for the Pro and 7 Series for the standard model, offering faster CPU, graphics and AI capabilities for gaming, apps and generative AI features. Battery life reaches 17 hours, with 50W fast charging and advanced battery health management.

Sustainability is a focus, with recycled materials, over 99% plastic-free packaging and assembly powered entirely by renewable energy, giving the Pro a carbon footprint of just 50.5 kg CO₂e.

The Phone (4a) is priced at RM1,999 and the Pro at RM2,299, available in Malaysia for pre-order from April 2 to April 9 and in-store from April 10, with early access perks and RM100 discounts during pre-orders.
