Nintendo might be working on a mobile version of The Legend of Zelda, according to reports by Wall Street Journal.
WSJ’s report notes that it will be co-developed by Japanese developer DeNA, and will follow their mobile title after Animal Crossing.
While first planned for March, Nintendo’s earnings report notes that Animal Crossing will be delayed to the next fiscal year. WSJ reported the time frame to be latter half of 2017.
Other titles recently launched on mobile includes Fire Emblem Heroes and Super Mario Run late last year. The latest Zelda title made for Switch also sold more copies than the console itself.
There is no conclusive date for the Zelda mobile game, but it seems like it’ll come in 2018. Also no details on whether it’s free to play with IAP, or paid app.
