Nintendo Showed Off Their Indie World Showcase, So Here’s The Best Games From The Announcements

Nintendo have held another one of their Indie World showcases, and they’ve announced some indie games that are coming to the Nintendo Switch. Of course, not all these games are particularly interesting or a hit, for me. But there are some pretty good looking indies that might be worth picking up when they’re available. We’ve compiled a list of some of the best and most interesting looking indies for your viewing pleasure:

Exit The Gungeon

Originally released as an Apple Arcade exclusive in September 2019, the game has now made its way onto the Nintendo Switch console. Exit the Gungeon is a spinoff of the popular roguelike game, Enter the Gungeon. The game is available from today as a timed console exclusive, and expands on the original game.

Blue Fire

Blue Fire is an upcoming 3D action platformer, set to release this summer as a timed console for Nintendo Switch. The game is reminiscent of Breath of the Wild’s art design, and kind of reminds me of a Dark Soul-esque game play style. This has to be one of the more interesting games from the Indie World showcase this time around.

The Last Campfire

Notorious No Man’s Sky developers, Hello Games, has now showed off their new game called The Last Campfire. The game looks to me some sort of looks like an amalgamation of Zelda and any other adventure/puzzle game around. There’s dungeons with puzzles to solve, and some sort of backstory which consists of this little blue hooded dude being the last of his kind? That’s what it looks to me anyway.

The game is set to launch this summer on the Nintendo Switch.

So that’s it guys! The Indie World showcase had quite a number of new indie games releasing for the Switch, but these three have to be the most interesting, to us, so far. Let us know in the comments which games you’re looking forward to!
