Camera manufacturers aren’t throwing in the towel yet, while smartphone have overtaken point and shoots and the need for hand-held video camera’s, there is still the fact that for professional and high quality image only a DSLR can do the work.

Nikon is trying to appeal to new users who only shoot using their smart devices with the an entry-level DX-format DSLR. Nikon D3400 that can connect to gives the users share option be it on social media or emails. Seen as an upgrade from previous model, this new entrant is much lighter, more robust and is topped up with connectivity features for the youth market.

Equipped with SnapBridge technology, D3400 uses low energy Bluetooth that automatically transfers photo’s with simple, one-time set-up. This eliminates the need to manually reconnect the camera to a smart device for each image transfer and connection is maintained even when the camera is turned off.

The 24 Megapixel D3400 incorporates a DX-format CMOS sensor which expands the camera’s ISO sensitivity to a maximum of 25600, translating into sharp images for low-light moments. Its also capable to shoot videos in full HD1080/60p. Quick Draw McGraw couldn’t have been prouder with this DSLR, capturing up to 16 shots in RAW format with continuous shooting at a speed of up to 5 frames per second, missing a moment will be next to impossible.
