Nikon has given Reaching The Stars a new meaning with the Coolpix P1000 compact DSLR, a powerful superzoom camera with an incredible 125x optical zoom.
A 24-3000mm equivalent and powered by high performance NIKKOR optics; the P1000 is the built especially for those involved in birding, sports, wildlife and celestial photography who seek for good quality performance from extreme distances. The 16-megapixel P1000 is capable of taking 4K UHD video and includes a built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for modern day convenience.
Designed with ED and Super ED lens, the powerful zoom it offers is equivalent to a staggering 6000mm from macro to extreme distances. For example you can capture a ballplayer from the top tier of a stadium or fill the frame with objects from the sky like the moon, that normally only a telescope could reach.
To handle the shake element when taking far away objects, Nikon fitted the camera with an EXPEED image processing system and Dual Detect Optical VR technology for 5-stops of camera shake compensation. The built-in OLED electronic viewfinder (EVF) keeps things in view and sharp always, while the Vari-Angle 3.2-inch TFT LCD display in available for tight angles.
Nikon will be pricing the Coolpix P100 at a recommended retail price of $999.95 and will make it available in September 2018.
