Immortal Legacy: The Jade Cipher is a VR horror shooter releasing for PS4 on 20th March 2019. The game is a fusion of old school single player shooters and VR gameplay. It includes combat, problem solving and exploration.
The player gets in the game as Tyre, an ex-special forces soldier travelling to the isle of Yinzhou to investigate the mysterious death of his mother. With Ksana (Mother’s estranged friend) they embark on an adventure to uncover the truth and other mysteries of her past.
To add to that there are 15 different weapon types controlled by PlaystationMove controllers. Besides that there are puzzles to solve, exploring the environment avoiding traps and combat of course.
To play the game you’ll need a Playstation VR and 2 PlaystationMove controllers. The game will be out on 20th March and will be RM 74 for purchase.
However, be skeptical of VR games in general. Don’t go out of your way to get the PSVR unless you’re really into Virtual Reality. The screencaps look interesting enough, but VR games of past have shown us it isn’t as well adopted as it’d like to be.
