Family plans are good if you have large enough members to share the benefits these deals offer, especially on data, while mom and dad are still on phone calls and text messaging with their friends their data usage is not as high as lets say their teenage children. Data pooling is a good way in managing this commodity, the amount can be allocated and shared among family and better utilised depending on the persons use or behaviour.
The newly launched Digi Postpaid Family Plan sets out to achieve this in giving customers more for less in its all minted 4G plus network on its 900Mhz spectrum. For those who have 5 members in the family the telco is offering internet quota of up to 120GB per month for RM250 that’s an average for 4GB per day with unlimited calls across all networks. And for the lead line user roaming is included with 5GB data and 60 minute calls for free while members can top up RM30 for the same add-on, however Digi currently lists 8 countries for this offer.
If you adopted the one child policy from China, then there’s the RM150 plan with 60GB for your family, with unlimited calls and similar free roaming deal offered on the RM250 plan.
However there is a caveat on both these plans, the data is split in half to all day internet and weekend internet, which means once quota finishes over the weekend you will have top-up regardless if your weekday allocation. And furthermore all unutilised quota’s will be burned come the next monthly billing cycle.
