At yesterdays international roaming plans announcement by Chief Marketing Officer Zalman of Celcom, the affable gentleman gave the media a teaser on the next day launch of their new postpaid plan that was about to give more. A journalist from the floor requested Zalman to divulge the full details, but was patiently told to wait just for a few more hours.

Now the telco has officially made available the details of First Platinum, a presumably top tier plan among the rest of the First branded postpaid, taking the cue from credit card companies and how they treat customers with loyalty programs and exclusive privileges, Platinum users will get similar treatment only except with telco service. Those who siagn up will be given an unprecedented 18GB worth of data, unlimited calls and SMS, personalised customer service and other facilities you would expect from premium metal cards under this option.

As for the the plan breakdown not the entire 18GB is for the full 30 day, Celcom has halved it with 9GB data for daily use and the other to be used over weekends with 2.25GB for Saturday and Sunday. In comparison First Gold just gives 5GB for weekdays for RM80 with another 5GB for weekend use. Internet bonus is given for those who use above RM225 on their monthly bills with 1 additional GB and 2 GB for those who chalk up above RM500.

The plan will also provide services like Zipit Chat keeping your converstions secure with its encryption technology, free unlimited music with Yonder, choose your own number and no tie-in contracts. First Platinum card holders will also be able to access MAS Golden Lounge commonly reserved for First Class and Business Travelers with terms and condition applied.
