Netflix is trying out a ”random’ viewing options where views can jump into a random episode of a certain popular TV shows to give you a better viewing experience. The option lets you jump into a random episode of popular shows on the streaming service like hitting shuffle on The Office or Arrested Development. The option appeared on an Android user’s app. This feature is good for those who wants to jump into a show you’ve seen plenty of times and mindlessly binge for hours. It’s not suitable for those who watch continuity-based shows like Twin Peaks or Bodyguard.

A spokesperson for Netflix said, “We are testing the ability for members to play a random episode from different TV series on the Android mobile app. These tests typically vary in length of time and by region, and may not become permanent.”
