Let’s be honest, the dust from that emotional season 3 finale has yet to even settle but Netflix has already dropped a teaser for season 4. It may be less than a minute long and doesn’t really feature anything other than that signature 80s synthwave that has become synonymous with the show, but boy, does it whet your appetite. Check it out for yourself below.

Let’s be honest, just hearing that opening theme got you excited. After 3 seasons of being set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, the show is finally going to be centered elsewhere. Could this be the final season of iconic TV show? It’s a real possibility. Series creators Matt and Ross Duffer have always seen Stranger Things running for 4-5 seasons so this could very well be the last. On the other hand, I doubt Netflix is going to want to part ways with what is arguably their best TV show so soon.
Whatever it is, at least they won’t have to worry about losing the Duffer brothers. The Stranger Things showrunners have recently signed a multi-year film and series overall deal with the streaming platform so expect to see more from them.
“The Duffer Brothers have captivated viewers around the world with Stranger Things and we’re thrilled to expand our relationship with them to bring their vivid imaginations to other film and series projects our members will love,”
“We can’t wait to see what the Duffer Brothers have in store when they step outside the world of The Upside Down.”
Ted Sarandos, Chief Content Officer Netflix
With so much going on in the world of video streaming, Netflix can’t afford to lose the brothers. The company have made some smart deals, with the likes of Game Of Thrones showrunners DB Weiss and David Benioff already signed to multi-year deals as well as spin off’s of iconic TV shows such as Breaking Bad set to release soon. Your move, HBO (and Disney +, Amazon Prime, Apple TV Plus etc).
