2018 has been quite a year with remarkable achievements for TP-Link’s smartphone brand, Neffos. Market data for 2018 shows that global shipments of Neffos smartphones grew by 300 percent year-over-year. The Neffos brand was established by TP-Link in 2015 to enter the global smartphone market. Being TP-Link, it seems the brand is most concerned about the connectivity, rather than anything else. Considering that the brand is mostly entry level smartphones, with their costliest device, the N1, coming in at RM 809.

Neffos has witnessed growth in the first three quarters of 2018, it maintained this momentum and made a sprint in Q4. Neffos has seen a significant increase by 125% in Q4 2018 shipments, with the shipments increasing by 528% in Middle East and 474% in East Europe. While in South America, the number is 155%. Especially in the last month, Neffos’ shipments of smartphones have exceeded 110,000 units, which marks a distinct achievement for Neffos. This doesn’t come as a surprise. Cheap, affordable smartphones are the new wave, and more and more people are riding it.

Having launched 8 phones in 2018, Neffos is set introduce more phones in 2019. They’ve already introduced the Neffos C5 Plus which we already reviewed. Other phones include the N105, N150 and the upcoming flagship X20 and X20 Pro.
