Online used car selling platform myTukar Sdn Bhd, has revealed its new Apprentice Programme in collaboration with TOC Automotive College (TOC), to train next generation of automotive professionals with guaranteed employment.
The programme which requires 12 months of training is expected to produce 100 to 120 successful automotive professionals upon completion.
Additionally, after three months positioned as Automotive Assistant Technician Course at TOC, the apprentices will continue with a nine month internship at myTukar and Carro’s inspection centers and guaranteed the employment.

TOC’s role in myTukar Apprentice Programme is to provide the course module development and delivery; enrolment of students into the programme; interviewing, shortlisting and monitoring of students as well as facilitating placements of apprentices. Their role will also extend to managing their performances during the nine months internship.
The course fee will be borne by the students or they may opt for TOC Bina Bakat Programme, which offers both apprenticeship and loan repayment plans for students through a monthly deduction from salary or allowance upon obtaining an apprenticeship or permanent job placement.
myTukar Apprentice Programme also offers the apprentices an internship allowance of RM1200 a month.
Upon graduation, the graduates will secure employment with myTukar or Carro Group in South East Asia regional offices at a minimum salary of RM1800 and above.
The next intake for myTukar Apprentice Programme is in April 2021.
