No news yet whether or not Disney Plus (Disney+) will be available in Malaysia sadly. Fans of the movies and TV series that are set to be release on the streaming platform will just have to wait till they’re available somewhere else. One of those movies set to be released is the Live-action adaptation of Mulan.

Sad news for Malaysian fans when it was first announced that Mulan is going straight to Disney+ because where the hell are we going to watch the movie? Fret not my friends, there’s now some good news as Apple, Google and Roku users will be able to watch the live-action remake soon!

Yes! You heard (or read) that right! The much-anticipated remake of the 1998 animated feature will be release on September 4 and according to a report in Variety, Mulan is also set to be on sale from the Google Play Films, App Store and Raku platforms.

Disney announced earlier this month that it intends to make the eagerly awaited movie available on its streaming platform in the light of the ongoing Covid-19 crisis that has disrupted the movie’s traditional theatrical release.

To avoid losing money, Disney has chosen to offer its platform subscribers an opportunity to purchase the film for the sum of US$ 29.99 (RM125), which is payable in addition to the standard subscription fee of US$ 6.99 (RM29.15) a month.

So those who purchase the film via the App Store or Google Play will be charged US$29.99 (RM125), which is the same amount that Disney+ subscribers will pay to access the film. Okay, yeah so it comes with a heavy price in order to watch the movie but I guess it’s better than nothing right? No?

I don’t know if I will spend that much on a movie to be honest but I won’t judge you guys if you’re going to. If you can afford to and if you’re willing then go right ahead but I suggest you invite some friends and family over to watch. That would make your money worth spending.
