Motorola Razr Foldable Display And Retail Box Leaked Online, And It Looks Pretty Good

Foldable’s as of late have been a hot topic, whether it be good or bad *cough* Galaxy Fold *cough*. But a player we haven’t taken into consideration as much, is Motorola. The Razr has been in the works for a while now, and it’s probably going be a pretty different foldable in comparison to the others we’ve seen so far. It’ll be a throwback to the days of flip phones, and I am here for it. The leaks, courtesy of PhoneArena, included the phone itself, packaging, and what’s in the box. The so called ‘box’ in and of itself looks impressive enough, regardless of the device. But in this case, I’d say the device is looking pretty solid too. The leaks seem to be legit, and actually look like official press images.

Other brands are focusing on the tablet form factor, Motorola is waging on nostalgia, plus a more convenient device. The Razr is expected to get a 6.2″ display and comes in at a 22:9 aspect ratio. The phone sports a pretty noticeable chin at the bottom, but is reminiscent of the Razr V3. There doesn’t seem to be a selfie camera, but that’s because the new Razr will probably be using the rear camera and secondary display for that. Which is an interesting use of space and aesthetics, but how it plays out still remains to be seen.

While all this news is great and I’m particularly excited for the device, let’s keep in mind that these are just the leaks. We’ll have to wait for official word from Motorola themselves, but so far, I’m liking what I’m seeing. The phone is rumoured to be going for $1500 (RM 6200) and that’s a pretty steep price. Hopefully, they got that wrong about the leaks.
