More Asian Made Originals On Netflix

The legendary tale of a boy living in the jungle with wild animals and a story about 5 teenagers in an isolated school who encouter mysterious events are just some of the scheduled releases of shows on Netflix this month, and more importantly they are Asian made.

Marking its commitment to show more local contents, the worlds largest streaming network unveiled  “See What’s Next: Asia” bringing shows and series produced from Japan, Taiwan,m Thailand, India and South Korea on Netflix.  as well as performers creators from Netflix series and films, unveiled 17 new Asian original productions from Japan,Taiwan, Thailand, India and South Korea.

These projects join 100 new and returning originals across eight countries in Asia through 2019 as Netflix increases its investment in Asian storytellers, giving opportunity for them to showcase their work to the millions of subscribers on the channel.  CEO Reed Hastings and Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos,“Asia is home to the world’s great creative centers producing some of the most compelling films and
series of today,” More than half of Asian content hours viewed are outside the region, the network is confidence the upcoming slate local productions will find fans in their home countries and abroad.

The titles announced include Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle, Kingdom, Busted, Japanese Anime: Pacific Rim, Altered Carbon, Thai horror: The Stranded, Shimmers and many more.
