MOONTON, ESI Launch Guru Juara Masterclass To Equip Teachers With Digital And STEM Skills

MOONTON Games, the developer of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), has partnered with Esports Integrated (ESI), under the Ministry of Youth and Sports, to launch the Guru Juara MOONTON Masterclass programme for primary school teachers in Malaysia.

The initiative, announced on 11 September at the Sri Putra Hall in Bukit Jalil, aims to strengthen teachers’ digital literacy and introduce innovative learning methods in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The Selangor State Public Library Corporation (PPAS) and primary school teachers in the state are also supporting the programme.

Workshops under the Guru Juara Masterclass will cover two main areas: digital game competition management to help teachers organise structured esports activities in schools, and an introduction to TinkerCad for 3D design to encourage creativity aligned with STEM objectives.

Teachers completing the programme will receive a certificate co-signed by MOONTON Games and ESI, enabling them to nominate student teams for state-level competitions, including the Selangor State Under-12 MLBB Tournament scheduled for December 2025.

Deon Moh, Head of Publishing Strategy Alignment at MOONTON Games, said the masterclass was part of a long-term commitment to responsible digital literacy. “By equipping teachers with the right tools and knowledge, we are unlocking win-win opportunities—enabling educators to connect better with their students while preparing the next generation to thrive in a tech-driven world,” he said.

ESI’s parent company, Impact Integrated, also voiced support. Chief Executive Officer Ahmed Faris Amir said: “The best way to get to our school students and to make sure that they are disciplined, that they’re healthy, is to speak to the educators. So here I am pledging our support and believing that what MOONTON is doing is bold and is the best way to move forward.”

The Guru Juara MOONTON Masterclass will take place on 29 and 30 September at the Raja Tun Uda Library in Shah Alam. Each primary school in Selangor may nominate one teacher, with registration closing on 19 September.
