Regular Season to feature new point system and exciting team lineups
The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League MY/SG Season 4 (MPL-MY/SG S4) is kicking off its Regular Season this 24th August till 29th September 2019. This phase of the RM415,000 (US$100,000) prize pool tournament will be streamed live on the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Facebook page every Saturday and Sunday from 4pm onwards.
The upcoming Regular Season will see an improved point system implemented. Teams will be ranked based on the number of best-of-three matches won, and in the event of a tiebreaker, the teams’ win-loss differential (number of games won minus number of games lost) will first be considered. The higher the differential number, the higher a team will rank. If the win-loss differential is inconclusive, the final rankings will be determined by the teams’ head-to-head record.
Similar to previous seasons, the number of teams qualifying for the Playoffs remains the same: eight top ranking teams will gain entry into the Playoffs while the bottom two teams will be eliminated. The top four teams ranked 1st – 4th will advance directly into the upper bracket of the Playoffs (double elimination), while the bottom four teams ranked 5th – 8th will enter the lower bracket of the Playoffs (single elimination).
This season, MLBB fans in the Klang Valley will be able to join in live viewing parties to watch Regular Season matches. Happening this 15th, 21st and 29th September at Rasta in Taman Tun Doctor Ismail Kuala Lumpur, these viewing parties will be a gathering of fans with activities, giveaways and more. Team developments and roster changes
After the gruelling Malaysia and Singapore qualifiers last month, two teams from each country have
qualified for the upcoming Regular Season. They are: Todak (Malaysia), Sabah Top Player (Malaysia),
Louvre Esports (Singapore) and Notorious Villains (Singapore).
