The Ministry of Finance (MOF) has responded to common queries surrounding the RM100 eMADANI credit application, which has been open for four days.
Addressing potential confusion, the ministry aimed to shed light on certain aspects for better understanding.
In the first scenario, where individuals with an income below RM100,000 experience rejection, the clarification offered is linked to the eMADANI program’s objective of encouraging cashless transactions among recipients of Rahmah Cash Contributions (Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah) and taxpayers.
To assess eligibility, the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) will utilise the 2022 assessment tax statement.
Failure to submit the 2022 assessment tax statement within the stipulated period renders the applicant ineligible for this assistance.
For cases where individuals have made declarations but remain ineligible, it might result from discrepancies between their registration in the e-wallet platform and LHDN records (isolated cases – an appeal can be filed through your chosen e-wallet platform).
This clarification aims to provide insight into the eligibility criteria and the need for timely submission of the 2022 assessment tax statement to facilitate a smoother application process for interested parties seeking the eMADANI credit assistance.
