Medical Frontliners Had Enough, Want To Meet Prime Minister

Medical frontliners are extremely dissatisfied with the Health Ministry’s arrangement in working hours currently being practiced. The men and women who have been toiling for months without care for their own welfare are calling out the Ministry to calibrate the shifts and offer better working conditions.

Medical association which comprises of nurses, hospital assistants and doctors have voiced their concerns to Malaysia Medical Association who have brought up the matter to the Ministry including other associations like the Malaysia Pharmacy Association, Malaysia Nurses Association and Hospital Drivers of Malaysia. However, the heroes who fought day and night to keep Malaysia safe from the Covid-19 outbreak wants the Prime Minster to step in.

The issue has been heating since a month back, when MMA highlighted the matter with a press statement on the dire situation these workers are in, many who have not rested for weeks, tough working condition and some of who have not gone back home for months. The Health Ministry has set up systems for the staffs to be redeployed based on infected zones, the efficiency of this enabled the country to tackle outbreaks whenever they happen. But it also came at a cost for those grinding out the workload.

We think its time they get a break even thought the war is still being waged, the country owes these men and women, MOH needs to sort this out ASAP, before we have a collapse of the system.
