Maybank2u Users Face Login Problem

Maybank is experiencing a barrage of comments on its social media page with customers complaining on problems accessing to their accounts on its web platform.

Comments started this morning on the issue and till this afternoon the complaints continue to appear, Maybank admin has been replying to the comments on the problem stating that its already fixed but looks like certain users continue to be affected. One user, Chong Jee Yann sent message on the login problem only to recieve an automated reply which he is not too pleased.

However when we tried today it seemed to be working fine, many were lamenting on the lack of notification by the bank on the disruption. One user even said of having problem using the ATM to access with his M2U account.

Banks have been seeing a surge in online usage since Covid 19, with many customers opting to transact and make payments over the net instead of going to the tellers. Besides many banks were closed or on minimal staff force during the lockdown. But if banks are not prepared or equipped to handle the increase in traffic, it raises a bigger question on how prepared is Malaysia for digitalisation?

  1. I have a problem of getting access to my maybank2u portal from my notebook. The error message of ‘the site can’t be reached’ kept appearing. As such, I could not perform my banking activities from the portal today.

But, it works perfectly alright when I used it from my mobile phone using the maybank2u apps.
