
After roughly a year since the departure of Morten Lundal, Maxis has finally announced its permanent Chief Executive Office with the promotion of Gokhun Ogut the current COO.
He will be taking over from Australian Robert Nasson who steered the Maxis ship from April 2018, Gokhun joined the telco in 2018 focusing on building the core operations and product offering. Prior to Maxis, Gokhan ran his own consultancy firm offering management and marketing consultancy services in Europe and Middle East out of Istanbul, Turkey. From 2009-2016, he was with Vodafone Turkey, where he held senior roles – his first position was as Chief Marketing Officer, rising to become the Chief Consumer Business Officer in 2011 and eventually as the Chief Executive Officer of the company between 2013 and 2016.
Before Vodafone, Gokhan was in senior marketing as well as general management roles with a number of large and well-known companies like Danone and Procter & Gamble, holding positions that had domestic as well as global responsibilities in Turkey, US and France.
Gokhan has an Industrial Engineering degree from the Bogazici University of Turkey, as well as an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is married with two daughters.
