Finally some good news in 2020. The long awaited Disney+ series is finally coming out this year along with many, many others.
Back in February, Disney+ dropped its trailer for new Marvel series that were supposed to come to the streaming site later this year which includes WandaVision, Falcon and The Winter Soldier and Loki. But due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the fate of these series were unknown.
Marvel’s Black Widow movie has been postponed multiple times this year so it’s not surprising that the release for their Disney+ series were postponed too. But Marvel fans are excited because one of those series is still being released before 2020 ends and that series is WandaVision. The series was one of the many releases that will be available on the streaming site based on this new trailer:
Not much is known about WandaVision other than from the teasers from the first Disney+ Marvel trailer that was dropped in February. The series looks like its taking form of classic and modern sitcoms where it shows Wanda and Vision living a normal suburban life raising twins but there were brief scenes that indicate that this could all be an alternate reality created by Wanda after losing Vision in Infinity War.
We might finally get to see Wanda Maximoff taking the title of Scarlet Witch as we saw her powers grew stronger during Avengers Infinity War when she destroyed the Mind Stone while holding off Thanos and in Endgame where she took on the mad titan, actually making him fearing for his life.
The series’s cast will also include the return of Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis and Randall Park as Jimmy Woo, along with MCU newcomers Teyonah Parris – playing the adult Monica Rambeau – and Kathryn Hahn, who is playing the “nosy neighbour.”
WandaVision is said to be connected to the next Doctor Strange movie, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness where it’s rumoured that Wanda will be under the influence of the movie’s antagonist, Nightmare as she’s still grieving for the loss of Vision.
