Manpower Matchmaker Cidekick, Receives RM750k From Cradle

Established in 2015, Cidekick aims to solve the manpower problem faced by the event agency’s and talents industry looking for temporary staff force. Run by two close friends who themselves were in the events business, found that getting the right manpower for the job can be difficult.

Having developed the Cidekick application over 2 years, the response has been encouraging and have been able to match talents to requests. Business can log in and leave their requirements and the system will find suitable candidates for the job. Like a matchmaking app but for temporary workers. With the initial funding of RM750,000 Philip Phua founder and CEO will looking to expand his solution to other countries.

According to him one of the reasons creating the online solution is that he finds the event jobs industry lacks the transparency and it requires them to contact multiple agencies and conducting many meetups to get the right talent. Many customers wished there was a single place where they could just check out the talent’s profiles and decide then on who they want to hire and be able to manage everything online.

Cidekick brings multiple players across companies, event organisers and individuals onto a single platform ultimately giving potential an intuitive one stop location to get their event support staffs.
