Al Jazeera’s office in Malaysia was raided by Malaysian authorities this morning.

The move was done as a part of the government’s ongoing investigation into the controversial documentary Locked Up In Malaysia’s Lockdown filmed and published by Al Jazeera in early July of this year.

According to Malaysiakini, two officers in uniform and five in plainclothes raided the news agency’s workplace, seizing several devices linked to the production of the documentary.

Malaysian authorities have criticised the news outlet for the supposedly malicious and false accusations made in the documentary, prominently DG Noor Hisham.
