MAG Dominates Dota 2, Unsigned5 Triumphs In VALORANT At Malaysia Qualifiers

Team Myth Avenue Gaming (MAG) and Team Unsigned5 claimed victory at the Predator League 2025 Malaysia Qualifier Finals, earning the right to represent Malaysia at the APAC Predator League 2025 in January.

In Dota 2, MAG triumphed over Team Odd Taxi in a dominant 3-0 final, showcasing exceptional strategy and skill. Their tactical play, which distracted the opposition to allow their carry to farm, paid off throughout the tournament, with MAG securing back-to-back wins. Meanwhile, Unsigned5 emerged as the victors in VALORANT after a dramatic comeback against Team Todak. Tied 1-1 after two games, Unsigned5 clinched the championship with a 3-1 win in a three-hour final.

Both MAG and Unsigned5 were awarded prizes worth over RM20,000, including RM10,000 in cash and Predator merchandise valued at RM11,000. The runners-up, Odd Taxi and Team Todak, received RM12,000 in prizes, including RM8,000 in cash.

In addition to MAG and Unsigned5, Grills Gaming, Malaysia’s first all-female international esports team, has received a direct invite to the APAC Predator League 2025 Dota 2 finals. Known for their gold medal win at the 2023 Global Esports Games, Grills Gaming is set to join the national representatives at the regional competition.

For the first time, Malaysia will host the prestigious APAC Predator League, welcoming 14 regions to compete for the Predator Shield and a prize pool of USD 400,000. The event, held from 11-12 January 2025, will also feature live performances, including a guest appearance by renowned Malaysian singer Aina Abdul, adding to the excitement for attendees.

The competition will be a vibrant gathering, celebrating the best in gaming and entertainment.
