Home owners in most housing estates nowadays can be seen having security cameras installed as part of their security set-up. What used to be a premium only a few could afford and were mostly offices, with the advent of affordable data storage, cloud coupled with lower manufacturing cost for hi-def camera, now everyone can fit their homes with these eyes in the ceiling.

M3Tech having recently launched the Ezviz action camera, has now signed an exclusive distribution agreement for the rest of the range including the smart security systems. Executive Chairman of M3 Tech, Mark Chew Shin Yong, said, ‘As the EZVIZ brand has taken off to a flying start in several countries nationwide, we see great potential in this brand and how it would benefit us Malaysians. We do see the growing demand in security cameras and we are here to solve just that!’

The system consists of various components including wireless CCTV surveillance cameras, motion detectors, panic buttons, and sensors that’s uncomplicated and with a mobile phone can scan the QR codes for easy installation. Like most security systems in the market, users can not only monitor their premise on their smartphone in real time and be notified when the alarm is triggered.

During the event, the company unveiled the latest Ezviz S5Plus action camera which is capable of shooting 4k ultra HD videos at 30fps through an ultra-wide F.28/158° lens. With an IPS touch LCD display users can watch the video playback and other functions of the camera. It also has night-long exposure capabilities, a G-sensor for motion detection, lens distortion correction, a built in microphone with wind noise reduction, electronic image stabilization and a 1,200mAh interchangeable battery.
