Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd celebrates 20 consecutive years as the No. 1 Inkjet Printer Brand in the country by launching a total of 13 new printers in five of its printer model ranges. The new additions, namely from the PIXMA Ink Efficient E & G series, PIXMA All-in-One Photo Printer, MAXIFY Business Inkjet, and imageCLASS Laser printer lines, come equipped with the latest innovative enhancement targeting a wide range of end-users.

The launch, held in Penang, invites members of the media, as well as 200 of its dealers from across Malaysia to experience the 13 new models firsthand. According to its newly appointed President and Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Koh, the decision to hold the launch in Penang is due to its strongest and biggest branch in a state outside of Kuala Lumpur. He adds: “And much like the cuisine you find in Penang, our newly launched Canon printers has something for everyone.”

“The release of 13 new printers expresses Canon’s commitment to give our varied user segments – home, SOHO and government or corporations – the best and latest features, packaged in high quality, value-added cost-saving devices. It’s also our way of celebrating with our loyal users by making available a range of printer solutions with distinct specifications to cater to their growing needs,” shares Jeffrey Kung, Assistant Director of Consumer Imaging and Information Division.

Elaborating further about its success in Malaysia, Kung reveals that eight out of the 13 printers launched are from its inkjet printer segment, catering to SOHO and SME sectors. The company has also expanded its high-end laser printers, namely the imageCLASS LBP351x and LBP352x, offer corporations or government entities impressive print speeds of 55 and 62 ppm respectively – making them the two fastest printers in the imageCLASS range thus far. This is timely for Canon Malaysia as it embarks on its Canon2u programme, which started mid-2016.

The programme entails the company hosting roadshows across Malaysia, inviting corporations and government agencies to experience Canon solutions firsthand. So far, Canon Malaysia has hosted 20 events, engaging 12,000 people and output more than 6,000 printouts, with more events expected to happen come 2017.

Aside from enterprise-level printers, Canon enhances its photo printing portfolio with the new and improved PIXMA All-inOne Photo Printer TS8070 and TS5070. “Being a digital imaging expert and leader, we would like to use our expertise to provide our customers an integrated experience – from cameras to printers,” opines Kung. “With our consumer imaging and information expertise, we have an added advantage on delivering the best customer experience.”
