LG V40 ThinQ To Be Launched October 4 In South Korea

Thanks to a new teaser video, we now know the launch date of LG’s V40 ThinQ. It will be happening on 4 October 2018 at LG’s Science Park in South Korea. The new LG flagship is touted to feature a triple-zoom camera array at the back.

LG V40 ThinQ will join the company’s V-series lineup which combines flagship features alongside enthusiast-level specifications. The teaser video hints of an upgrade from last year’s LG V30, where the zoom capability of the phone will now encompass wide-angle POVs to close-up zoom. This suggests we will see up to three camera lenses, with the traditional LG wide-angle lens combined with a 2x zoom lens.

As this will be part of LG’s lineup, we can expect some pretty high-end features. This includes this year’s Snapdragon 845 SoC, a 3.5mm audio jack (which is disappearing from flagships everywhere), powerful Digital to Analog Converters (DAC) as well as audio amplifiers for hifi sounds from a smartphone.

Other features we may see from the phone includes up to 6GB of RAM, a 3300mAh battery or better, a 6-inch display at minimum with OLED panel and Android Pie 9.0 out of the box. We will definitely have to wait and see what LG has in store of us with the LG V40 ThinQ come October 4.
