LG shows off a new 34-inch 21:9 curved UltraWide gaming monitor. It doesn’t have a very easy to remember model name – 34UC89G – but it’s a new premium high-resolution monitor with NVIDIA G-Sync display technology and a 144Hz (overclock 166Hz) refresh rate.
The LG 34UC89 features a 21:9 curved IPS panel and Full HD resolution (2560 x 1080 pixels) designed to provide an immersive viewing experience. LG’s new 34-inch curved UltraWide monitor offers consumers a well-rounded premium gaming monitor for any game format – including FPS, MMO, RTS and racing games.
The 34UC89G features NVIDIA G-Sync gaming display technology which dynamically matches the 144Hz (overclockable to 166Hz) refresh rate of the display to the frame rate output of the GPU, eliminating tearing, minimising stutter and input lag, and delivering smooth gaming graphics at all times.
The monitor comes equipped with unique display modes – Black Stabiliser, Dynamic Action Sync, and Crosshair – that help users get the most out of tactical gameplay.
When playing FPS or RTS games, the Black Stabiliser mode enhances visibility, even in dark scenes. This allows the monitor to automatically sense the darkest areas and make them brighter, enabling players to easily find their enemies no matter where they hide. Dynamic Action Sync allows users to instantly defeat their opponents by minimising input lag while Crosshair places a target point in the centre of the monitor for enhance accuracy in FPS games.
The LG 34UC89 is priced at $999.99 and will be available on June 12 at retailers including, Newegg, Amazon, Fry’s Electronics, B&H, and Beach Camera.
