Leica‘s new M10-P is a stealthy photographer’s dream. Combining the DNA of the Leica M-series with the latest technology, the M10-P delivers premium quality photography experience – for those with cash that is.

Inside the body, the M10-P is basically the Leica M10 camera. It features a full frame 24MP CMOS sensor (with ISO range from 100 to 50,000), manual photography controls, a 0.73x viewfinder for more scene inclusion, and a large 2GB buffer memory. Lenses mount using the Leica M-mount.

What the new model adds are touchscreen capabilities for the 3-inch display at the back and a quiet mechanical shutter. The new touch controls gives M10-P users the ability to enable faster checking of focus in Live-View and Playback modes and convenient contemporary touchscreen controls such as swiping and pinch-to-zoom. Meanwhile the mechanical shutter has been tweaked by Leica to the point of silence when actuating, delivering electronic shutter-like noise performance while out in the field.

Leica also adds on the stealthiness of the camera by removing the famous red dot, and giving the M10-P a discreet paintjob. Of course Leica fans will be able to recognise the camera right away but for the most part, it will stay low-key. The Leica M10-P is selling for USD 7,995 (RM 32,766) for the body only.
